President Barack Obama promised 36 times that if Americans liked their current healthcare plan and doctor, they would be able to keep their plan and continue to visit their preferred doctor, but residents of Mahoning County in Ohio say that is not so.
Hundreds of people in Mahoning County can no longer see their favorite doctors, due to Obamacare.
Rep. Bill Johnson (R., Ohio) met with doctors from the Mahoning County Medical Society to discuss their concerns with United Healthcare’s decision to drop local doctors, including Eye Care Associates, Inc. in their township from their Medicare Advantage Plans.
The decision has forced patients to switch doctors or pay for their preferred doctors out of their own pockets.
Dr. H.S. Wang of Eye Care Associates echoed the concerns of Mahoning County residents, telling WKBN: "Now they’re facing the choice of switching to another doctor, they’re really scared."
