Israeli Prime Minster Benjamin Netanyahu posted a special Rosh Hashanah greeting Wednesday on his YouTube account.
Netanyahu described some of the domestic accomplishments from the past Jewish year and challenges the state of Israel faces as Rosh Hashanah begins.
Regarding Syria, the prime minister said Israel was not involved in the internal conflict but cautioned no one should doubt the nation's resolve to protect itself.
Netanyahu concluded his address by saying "Shana Tova" and wishing everyone around the world a happy new year.
