CBS: White House's Obamacare Guidance Stopped Ahead of 2012 Election

October 24, 2013

CBS’s Sharyl Attkisson reported that in the late summer of 2012 the Obama administration stopped issuing rules for the Obamacare website until after the election.  This resulted in what many are calling a serious delay in Obamacare's implementation.

Between May 2010 and August 2012 109 regulations were proposed, but from September 2012 to November 2012 zero regulations were proposed.  After the election a total of 60 regulations were proposed.

This delay resulted in insurance companies not having the information that they need to design their plans, and calculate their premiums.
