With the Monday deadline approaching for uninsured Americans to purchase coverage under Obamacare, "CBS This Morning" reported Wednesday that skepticism about the law is rampant with the public.
Among those whom the law was presumably designed to help, the uninsured, White House correspondent Major Garrett said, "Impressions of the law itself remain negative."
A new CBS News / New York Times poll found 34 percent believe the law will hurt them personally, while only 16 percent thought it would help, and among the uninsured, 37 percent felt Obamacare would hurt them against 33 percent thinking it would help.
CBS reports that more Americans continue to disapprove (50 percent) more than they approve (39 percent) of the 2010 health care law. Americans without health insurance (53 percent) are just as likely as those with insurance (51 percent) to disapprove of the law, and only 38 percent of uninsured Americans approve of Obamacare; 40 percent of those with insurance approve.
