Barber Discusses The Lack Of Young Signups Under Obamacare

The Washington Free Beacon’s Ellison Barber discussed Obamacare’s latest troubles on The Blaze TV Thursday, highlighting how the current lack of young Americans signing up for a plan under the Affordable Care Act will ultimately lead to the law’s demise.

"Of the 2.2 million that have signed up [for a plan on the exchanges], only 24 percent are between the ages of 18 and 34," Barber noted. "By the administration’s own estimate, that demographic needs to makeup 40 percent of enrollments in order to keep premiums from spiking."

Said Barber, "If people are refusing to sign up for this, that arguably amounts to a people’s veto and it seems like it would be difficult for the administration to spin that in any positive way and justify keeping the Affordable Care Act."
