Dozens of gunshots can be heard in a video recording obtained by the New York Post of a gunman opening fire on Republican lawmakers at a congressional baseball practice in Alexandria, Va. on Wednesday morning.
In the dramatic video below, multiple gunshots can be heard and a player is shown lying on the ground of Eugene Simpson Stadium Park.
The Hill obtained an audio recording as well from Tryshah Taylor.
Taylor recorded audio of the attack from her back porch shortly after a shooter who police identified as 66-year-old James Hodgkinson opened fired. Taylor lives less than a block away from the baseball field in Alexandria where the GOP congressmen were holding practice for a bipartisan game for charity.
Around 30 gunshots can be heard in Taylor's audio recording.
It is unclear if the shots were fired by Hodgkinson or police officers.
House Majority Whip Steve Scalise (R., La.) was one of five people wounded in the attack.
