In January, President Obama’s motorcade drove by the Veterans Affairs hospital in Phoenix, Ariz., that was the center of rumors of secret waiting lists and numerous patient deaths. Now, Obama has returned to Phoenix and to visit the scandal-plagued facility.
Some are questioning if his visit is too little, too late. Almost a year to the day since Samuel Foote blew the whistle on the secret waiting lists; he questioned Obama’s intentions for visiting.
"I’m just curious if this is just going to be a show and tell with the administration or if this is going to be a fact finding mission," Foote said. "What is the point here?"
Sen. John McCain (R., Ariz.) commended the president for going to visit the VA after he blew off the veterans in January.
