Several Democrats have been appearing on television regularity hammering President Obama over his absence.
Rep. Henry Cuellar (D., Texas) said the images of Obama earlier this week shooting pool and drinking beer in Colorado "floored" him.
"If he’s saying he’s too busy to go down to the border but you have time to drink a beer, play pool, the appearance means that he’s not paying attention to this humanitarian crisis," he said.
Cuellar isn’t the only Democrat taking shots at Obama.
Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D., Ill.) compared Obama’s decision not to visit the Texas border, to ignoring a sick relative while vacationing nearby their hospital.
"I wish the President of the United States were going down and visiting the children and visiting the site tonight. I kind of think of, you know, if I were on vacation in Puerto Rico and my wife’s aunt was in the hospital and I didn’t go see her, I think her family would probably get together and probably say ‘You made a poor choice.’ It is important that he do that," Gutierrez said on CNN's Crossfire.
