Chris Christie during the Republican debate on Wednesday slammed Vivek Ramaswamy as the "most obnoxious blowhard in America," prompting the 38-year-old pharma exec to launch into a rant against "toxic neocons."
Christie accused Ramaswamy of unfair personal attacks on Nikki Haley, after Ramaswamy claimed that his three-year-old child could read a map better than Haley, who served as former president Donald Trump's U.N. ambassador.
"You would be voted in the first 20 minutes [of the debate] as the most obnoxious blowhard in America," said Christie. Ramaswamy "insulted Nikki Haley's basic intelligence, not her positions. … This is a smart, accomplished woman, you should stop insulting her."
Ramaswamy responded by calling Haley and Christie "neocons" and claiming they want to send American troops into Ukraine, a position that nobody on stage has proposed.
"These people want to send your sons and daughters to go die in Ukraine," said Ramaswamy. "Seven trillion dollars of our national debt due to these toxic neocons. You can put lipstick on a Dick Cheney, it is still a fascist neocon."
