Television personality Rosie O'Donnell suggested on Wednesday that First Lady Melania Trump's decision to marry her husband was a "failure," saying she could learn from it by taking her son Barron and "fleeing."

O'Donnell was responding to a tweet from Melania Trump, who wrote, "I urge you to not be afraid to fail–as failure will never have the power to define you, as long as you learn from it."

The former co-host of "The View" said the first lady's remarks were why she should take her 11-year-old son Barron and "divorce" President Donald Trump.

"Which is y u need to divorce him - take ur son and FLEE," O'Donnell tweeted.

O'Donnell and Donald Trump have feuded for years before Wednesday's tweet, the New York Daily News noted.

Last year, Trump stood by his prior comments referring to  O'Donnell as "unattractive," a "loser," and "slob." The two began feuding after O'Donnell commented on Trump's Miss USA pageant in 2006 on "The View."

O'Donnell came under fire days after the presidential election in November when she speculated that Barron Trump had autism. She later apologized to Melania Trump for her comments, saying she was "truly sorry."
