Harvey Weinstein on Sexual Assault Allegations: 'We All Make Mistakes'

October 12, 2017

Hollywood film producer Harvey Weinstein told TMZ paparazzi outside his daughter's house on Wednesday that he needed to get help and "we all make mistakes" after it was revealed last Thursday that he had settled sexual harassment claims with at least eight different women over several years.

The New York Times and the New Yorker both published explosive reports in the last week about women accusing Weinstein of sexual misconduct and harassment that spanned nearly three decades.

Weinstein, a longtime Democratic donor, was seen leaving his daughter, Remy's, house in Los Angeles to head to the airport where he later boarded a private jet and flew to a treatment facility in the Scottsdale, Ariz.-area. TMZ paparazzi surrounded him and a member of his entourage. Before getting into the Cadillac Escalade, Weinstein engaged with the paparazzi and answered a few of their questions.

"Harvey, are you doing okay?" one guy asked.

"I'm hanging in--I'm trying my best," Weinstein said, before reiterating he didn't want the paparazzi to follow him to the airport.

Another guy said he was glad to see Weinstein was doing okay.

"Guys, I'm not doing okay," Weinstein said. "I'm trying. I've got to get help, guys. You know what? We all make mistakes. Second chance, I hope."

"You know what? I've always been loyal to you guys. Not like those f---ing pricks who treat you like shit. I've been the good guy," Weinstein added.

Weinstein was fired on Sunday from the Weinstein Company film studio that he co-founded with his brother.
