Taylor Swift performed at Nationals Park in Washington, D.C., Monday night, and a local weatherman gave his forecast with scattered references to Swift's lyrics.
Fox News Channel 5 weatherman Mike Thomas saw rain in the forecast, but it didn’t stop him from getting fans excited about Swift's performance.
"But hey, the good news, this rain keeps cruising, can’t stop, won’t stop moving and should continue to fade away from the area over the next few hours," Thomas said. "I know what you’re thinking—‘Mike, why you gotta be so mean?’ But give me a little time to explain here or if the concert is going to go down in flames."
Thomas assured Swift fans that the rain should not interfere with the concert.
"I don’t foresee this event getting canceled, but in the event that it does, then haters, you can leave some hate, hate, hate down in the comment section below," Thomas said. "If it does rain, just shake, shake, shake it off."
A Washington Free Beacon analysis found that Thomas had 12 Taylor Swift lyric references throughout his entire forecast.
