The latest James Bond rumor caused CNN’s Carol Costello to turn into a frenzied, crazy teenage fangirl in just a few angst-filled minutes.
CNN correspondent Nischelle Turner revealed to Costello that William Boyd, who recently wrote the latest Bond book Solo, was not exactly happy with Daniel Craig, the actor currently playing James Bond.
Boyd said "If there was going to be an actor play my James Bond, I’d choose another actor who’s been in a film of mine and who is also called Daniel. Boyd recommends Daniel Day-Lewis, and argues he actually resembles the Bond that Fleming describes." Boyd adds that Daniel Day-Lewis has more the physique that Fleming had in mind when writing the book. Fleming had imagined a "tall, lean, rangy, very dark haired good looking man."
Costello could not believe that Boyd would want anyone other than Daniel Craig to play bond, exclaiming "No, Nischelle! Daniel Craig is hot!"
