Anchor-Governor: O'Malley Drops an Oddly Placed 'Conclusion' During State of the State Address

Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley (D.) apparently read the word "conclusion" off of his teleprompter Thursday during the state of the state address.

O'Malley seemed to recognize the slip-up as he said it, parsing a smile.

A Washington Free Beacon investigation reveals footage of his staff's reaction:

UPDATE 5:30 P.M.: The Washington Post reports O'Malley often says "conclusion" at the end of his speeches. Anchorman moment or not, it remains a strange rhetorical device.
