Check out the following statements on the subject of illegal immigration. One was said by Vice President and 2016 frontrunner Joe Biden, and the other was said by a racist. See if you can tell the difference:
1. "These people are just waiting, waiting for a chance to be able to contribute fully. And by that standard, [they] are already Americans, in my view. They just want a decent life for their kids and a chance to contribute to a free society, a chance to put down roots ... I really believe that."
2. "I understand that they come over here against our [laws] and cross our borders. But they’re here, and they’re people. And I’ve worked side by side a lot of them. Don’t tell me they don’t work, and don’t tell me they don’t pay taxes. … They’re awfully nice people, and we need to have those people join us and be with us."
