Rihanna: First Amendment Princess

Arbitrarily ranking thirty beautiful women who are all stunning in their own right opens the door for the disgruntled beard-wearers to air their capricious grievances:

Healthy discourse over why Emily Ratajkwoski was ranked a spot bellow Rihanna on my hot list is exactly what our Founding Fathers intended when they protected a right to free speech in the Bill of Rights. Count me as someone who believes that the First Amendment not only protects free speech, but also free expression. For example:

The First Amendment also empowers the Fourth Estate to expose and dismantle corrupt institutions.

Following up busting Thai animal traffickers, Ri-Ri has continued her one-woman investigative unit by tweeting  her experience at an illegal Thai sex show. (NSFW!)

That was broadcasted to the more than 32 million followers of Ri-Ri on Twitter. Among them: Thai sex police.

Tipped off by Rihanna, investigators set up a sting and arrested the bar owner this weekend.

Per Billboard:

Local district chief Weera Kerdsirimongkon said the man was arrested Saturday as part of a crackdown on shows featuring naked dancers.

"Authorities found out about this bar the morning after Rihanna tweeted about it, but we were not able to catch them violating the law until Saturday night," Weera said. "We had been waiting for them and finally caught them red-handed."

I couldn't agree with Weera Kerdsirimongkon more. Rihanna did the right thing. But then, you're never going to satisfy the haters:

Ferreting out the truth, even if it leads to a sex show somewhere in Thailand, is what journalism is all about.
