I like a dash of chaos every now and then.
Unfortunately, the college football season may have already peaked. As championship weekend kicks off, the lone remaining storyline of this season is whether Ohio State will get jumped by the winner of Auburn-Missouri.
It’s championship weekend. Come Monday, we have our bowl games.
Let’s get to work!
Oklahoma @ Oklahoma State -10
If OSU didn't lose a puzzling game versus bottom feeder West Virginia, the Cowboys would be blazing into the National Championship picture.
Memphis @ Connecticut -15
No one is hungrier in the American Airlines Conference than the two-win Huskies, who are enjoying a two-game winning streak. Make it three.
Texas @ Baylor -10
Texas's defense has matured and Baylor is still missing some its best weapons. Expect Mack Brown to win and solidify his job security.
Missouri @ Auburn -10
Auburn's championship was last week so a comedown is expected. Plus Mizzou's run D is stouter than Auburn's running game.
Stanford -10 @ Arizona State
The Cardinal will make their second-straight Rose Bowl.
Duke @ Florida State -28½
With Bama and sexual assault allegations left on the wayside, FSU has a wide-open shot at the title.
Ohio State -10 @ Michigan State
For most of the country, "the team of destiny" is the Auburn Miracles. Mine is a Buckeye squad that hasn't dropped a game in nearly two years and is helmed by Urban Meyer, the individual who started this era of SEC dominance. Urban started it and now he's going to finish it.
