More than 200,000 Americans have died from COVID-19 on President Joe Biden's watch, the equivalent of 83 Pearl Harbor attacks. Biden achieved the grim milestone over the weekend as American athletes were embarrassing their country at the Tokyo Olympics.
The Washington Free Beacon has been diligently tracking the number of COVID-19 deaths in the United States since Biden was sworn in as president. Mainstream media outlets have, for some reason, abandoned their obsession with mortality statistics (and other crucial "accountability" projects) now that a Democrat is in the White House.
Biden, who has only been president for six months, is now responsible for roughly one third of all American deaths from COVID-19. Since his inauguration on Jan. 20, Americans have been dying from the virus at an astonishing rate of 1,071 per day. Perhaps coincidentally, Biden was inaugurated exactly 187 days ago, a number that is often used as a slang term for murder.
To put the president's egregious body count into historical context, the 200,296 American deaths on his watch are equivalent to:
• 28 times the number of American deaths during the Battle of Gettysburg
• 67 times the number of American deaths on 9/11
• Nearly twice the number of American deaths in World War I
• Almost half the number of American deaths in World War II
It is yet another example of Biden's failed leadership and his inability to embrace American greatness. Around the same time that his COVID-19 death count hit 200,000 for example, the USA men's basketball team lost to France (yes, seriously) in its Olympic opener.
