A Pulitzer Prize-winning liberal cartoonist drew a cartoon last week depicting the National Rifle Association with literal blood on its hands and being responsible for bloodshed surpassing any caused by Islamic terrorists.

Mike Luckovich's editorial cartoon, published Wednesday, depicted an NRA-labeled hunter with red hands standing with two terrorists, one representing Al Qaeda and the other representing the Islamic State (ISIS).

The two terrorists are bowing before the NRA member saying, "we're not worthy!"

The cartoon came just days after the shooting at a Texas church that left 26 dead. Immediately following the shooting, a number of liberals followed their tendency in the wake of mass shootings to blame the NRA and call for additional gun control legislation. As facts came out, however, it became clear that if current law had been properly enforced, the shooter would not have been able to legally purchase a firearm.

Luckovich has drawn cartoons for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution since 1989 and received multiple awards while also drawing significant criticism over the years.
