Chelsea Clinton, daughter of former president Bill Clinton and former secretary of state Hillary Clinton, said in a Monday interview she was open to a run for a political office.
"Right now I’m grateful to live in a city, in a state and a country where I strongly support my mayor, and my governor, and my president, and my senators, and my representative," Chelsea Clinton told NBC News. "If at some point that weren’t true and I thought I could make a meaningful and measurably greater impact, you know, I’d have to ask and answer that question."
Clinton will have a number of resources on hand if she ever decides to run.
Politico reported Monday that the Clinton Foundation, which was set up after Bill left office in 2001, was renamed to include all three Clintons.
Additionally, as the Atlantic’s Jeffrey Goldberg pointed out Wednesday, Clinton revealed in an August 2012 Vogue interview that she already has a chief of staff.
