The National Republican Congressional Committee had a big fundraising haul in April, bringing in over $10 million.
Last month was the best April on record for the NRCC's fundraising, according to Roll Call. It also was the fourth straight month in which the House GOP's fundraising arm raised $10 million or more–the longest streak at that level ever.
So far the NRCC has raised $46 million in 2017, with approximately $20 million of that total coming from House Speaker Paul Ryan (R., Wis.). The Wisconsin Republican transferred $2.75 million to the NRCC in April.
Rep. Steve Stivers (R., Ohio), the NRCC's chairman, released a statement committing himself to helping Republicans win House seats.
"It's my mission to give our Republican members and candidates all the resources they need to succeed," Stivers said. "We can't take our foot off the gas pedal. Nancy Pelosi and national Democrats will stop at nothing to take back power."
The NRCC has been able to fundraise in part off comments from Democrats calling for President Donald Trump's impeachment.
