The Congressional Leadership Fund released a new ad on Wednesday castigating Democratic congressional candidate Jon Ossoff for his ties to liberal Hollywood backers.
Ossoff is running to represent Georgia's sixth district and fill the seat vacated by President Donald Trump's secretary of health and human services, Tom Price. He failed to get over 50 percent of the vote in Tuesday's special election, so he will face off against Republican candidate Karen Handel in a runoff in June.
The ad highlights how 95 percent of Ossoff's campaign donations have come from outside of Georgia, showing photographs of liberal celebrities who endorsed the congressional hopeful.
"Ninety-five percent of Jon Ossoff's campaign donors are liberals from outside of Georgia," the ad says.
The CLF also points out that Ossoff does not live in the district he is running to represent, adding that he is expected to be beholden to House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi (Calif.).
