MSNBC's "Morning Joe" will no longer have Kellyanne Conway, counselor to President Donald Trump, as a guest on the show.
Co-host Mika Brzezinski said on Wednesday that every time she has seen Conway on television, Conway has spread fake news or other information that was not accurate.
"Joe was just saying she books herself on these shows. We know she tries to book herself on this show," Brzezinski said. "I won't do it because I don't believe in fake news or information that is not true, and that is every time I've seen her on television, something's askew, off, or incorrect."
After co-host Joe Scarborough agreed, Brzezinski mentioned the current ethics controversy surrounding Conway, which is centered on her plugging Ivanka Trump's clothing line during a television appearance.
Scarborough then said that Conway has not been lying but is rather kept uninformed by the rest of the White House.
"She's out of the loop; she's in none of the key meetings," Scarborough said. "She gets out and books herself often, and I said this morning I saw some of the headlines yesterday and felt badly because the language I used was so harsh and I'm going to take it back about her 'lying.'"
Before ending the segment, Brzezinski reiterated that "Morning Joe" does not want to hear from Conway anymore.
"I will say, Kellyanne Conway does not need to text our show, at least as long as I'm on it because it's not happening here," Brzezinski said.
