CNN: Pelosi 'A Little Bit More Vulnerable Than We May Have Thought'

CNN's Manu Raju said Wednesday that Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.) is more vulnerable than some may have thought shortly after she was reelected as House minority leader despite a strong challenge from Ohio Rep. Tim Ryan.

"Nancy Pelosi, a little bit more vulnerable than we may have thought a few weeks ago," Raju said.

CNN host Kate Bolduan agreed.

"That's absolutely right," she said.

Pelosi was reelected to her post as the top House Democrat on Wednesday, taking down challenger Ryan, who put up a stronger performance than some observers had expected.

Pelosi beat Ryan by a margin of 134 to 63 votes.

One of Ryan's criticisms of Pelosi's leadership is that the Democratic Party has lost sight of how to help and reach out to working class voters in the Rust Belt and other parts of Middle America, where people flocked to cast their ballots for Donald Trump in the presidential election. Pelosi represents San Francisco, California in Congress.
