Clinton Cuts Off Informal Press Gaggle When Asked About Poll Showing Her Trailing Trump

Hillary Clinton cut off an informal conversation with her campaign’s press corps on Tuesday when a reporter began asking about a CNN national poll showing her two points behind Donald Trump.

Clinton began traveling on a larger plane this week that would accommodate the press corps covering her candidacy, and she spoke with them on the plane Monday as well. After some lighthearted questions about her health and Trump’s plane, which Clinton answered, a reporter began to ask about the new poll that has Trump leading her 45 percent to 43 percent.

"What do you think about the CNN poll that shows you—" the reporter said.

"OK, we’ll come back," communications director Jen Palmieri said, cutting the reporter off.

"We’ll come back," Clinton echoed. "We’ll come back, guys. We’ll come back. Just saying good morning."

"Good morning," some of the reporters said back to her.

Clinton strolled back to the front of the plane.
