Outgoing Democratic National Committee chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D., Fla.) is reportedly leaving the Democratic National Convention early on Monday.
A Washington Post reporter tweeted the early departure of the controversial chairwoman as supporters of Sen. Bernie Sanders (I., Vt.) have lambasted her on the first day of the convention.

Her speech to delegates from her own home state of Florida on Monday morning was drowned out by angry protesters chanting, ‘shame.’ Later it was announced that she would not gavel the convention into session.
Many commentators said that Schultz would be a distraction at the convention and would be booed by Sanders supporters, showing a sign of disunity in the Democratic Party.
