‘Game Change’ Stars Give Big
to Dems

More than $200,000 to Democrats and liberal groups, $0 to GOP

NewsBusters reports that the actors and major executives involved in the controversial political film Game Change have given at least $200,000 to Democratic candidates and committees—and nothing to Republicans.

Ed Harris (John McCain): $9,500 to Democratic candidates and nearly $12,000 to liberal interest groups like MoveOn.org.

Julianne Moore (Sarah Palin): $9,750 to Democratic candidates and committees.

Woody Harrelson (McCain strategist Steve Schmidt): $4,300 to Democratic candidates; $3,500 to liberal interest groups.

Jay Roach (director/co-executive producer): $15,800 to Democratic candidates and committees.

Tom Hanks (producer): More than $100,000 to the Democratic Party since 1994; more than $35,000 to liberal interest groups.

Danny Strong (screenwriter/co-executive producer): $2,500 to the Obama Victory Fund in 2008.

None have given any money to Republicans or conservative groups.

The film, which purports to document Sen. John McCain’s (R., Ariz.) selection of former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin as a running mate in the 2008 presidential campaign, is set to premiere March 10.
