The Iran nuclear deal talks have extended past the Tuesday evening deadline and into Wednesday with hopes a framework will be drafted. Multiple experts and allies to the United States have said that no deal is better than a bad deal.
Morning Joe host Joe Scarborough said Secretary of State John Kerry and President Obama are far too eager to have a deal with Iran and will not walk away from the table and come back later to a better deal. Howard Dean agreed with Scarborough.
Dean said that the U.S. is negotiating for a much stronger position than the one it had four years ago. Iran is desperate to get rid of United States sanctions against the country.
"Obama is right to try and get a deal," Dean said. "I’m worried about how negotiations have gone.
"I think that Joe is right; probably take a step away from the table and say, OK. You're not backing off on sending the uranium to Russia and you're not, and we'll get rid of the sanctions at our own pace."
