Democratic California Governor Jerry Brown’s revenue projections for the remainder of the fiscal year are flawed and overly optimistic, according to California state experts. The Orange County Register reports:
Gov. Jerry Brown‘s revenue projections for the remainder of this fiscal year and for all of the next are too optimistic by a combined $6.5 billion, according to a new report by the state’s fiscal analyst.
The Legislative Analyst’s Office suggests that after years of spending cuts the Legislature and governor may have to cut even more in order to balance the state budget in fiscal year 2012-13.
