As Congress worked to avoid a government shutdown Thursday, CNN’s Dana Bash reported on the overall atmosphere.
"Congress has turned into crazy town right now," Bash said.
In a time where most expect congressional bipartisanship, there is "congressional chaos."
To Bash’s surprise, it was the Democrats who were working to block a large government spending bill, and not the other way around.
"A bizarre scene. Liberal Democrats calling on conservative Republicans to join them in opposing a massive $1.1 trillion spending bill to keep the government running because it eases Wall Street reforms," Bash said.
