After Tuesday’s shellacking in the midterm elections, Democrats expressed their disappointment in the president and his reluctance to take responsibility.
"Democrats thought the president made a mistake not accepting more responsibility," Meet the Press host Chuck Todd said Wednesday night.
Todd talked about how the president has come to represent stagnation and not change, particularly as it relates to the makeup of his administration.
"The president’s not talking about changing his style or the White House staff," Todd said.
Todd also touched on the Republican Party’s resolve to continue to repudiate the agendas of both the president and Hillary Clinton. "She’s in for a rough two years from the Republicans."
RNC Chairman Reince Priebus spoke Wednesday about the message that was sent on Election Day.
"This was all about a direct rejection of the Obama agenda," Priebus said. "These were the president’s candidates–these were the Clinton’s candidates, and they lost."
