Greg Orman: 'I Reject The Premise' That Voters Deserve To Know What Party He'll Caucus With

Kansas Senate candidate Greg Orman has refused to declare which political party he will caucus with if elected.

Critics says Orman, an independent, will caucus with Democrat--which he said he will not address.

During a rare public event on Wednesday, Orman said he was insulted by voters who want to know which party he will caucus with. "I sort of reject the premise" of identifying a party, Orman said. "I think it’s an opportunity for Kansas to define the agenda in the United States Senate."

The Kansas race for U.S. Senate has become one of the most contested races of the midterm elections, and could be the state to sway the Senate.

Republicans are supporting Roberts’ campaign in full force, with recent endorsements from Jeb Bush, Sarah Palin, and John McCain.

A new Fox News poll shows Roberts leading by five points.
