The Washington Free Beacon’s Elizabeth Harrington discussed the Federal Drug Administration’s push to regulate electronic cigarettes, a move that would force many small business owners out of work.
Harrington told TheBlaze TV’s Dana Loesch that Democrats are on a "crusade against electronic cigarettes" as part of a larger crusade against the tobacco industry.
"There’s really no evidence that they are unhealthy," Harrington said, noting electronic cigarettes and cigars do not contain tobacco. "The FDA for some reason will put a lot of money into anti-smoking sesation methods but they ignore electronic cigarettes, and they are really out to regulate them and ultimately ban them."
Harrington argued the crippling regulations were a slippery slope to expanding bureaucracy in business.
