Ari Melber called the onslaught of desperate Democratic Party fundraising emails "pathetic" while speaking to fellow MSNBC host Jose Diaz-Balart on Wednesday.
"The Temptations always said 'ain't too proud to beg,'" Melber said. "But you can look pathetic when you beg too much."
The emails, addressed from Nancy Pelosi, Hillary Clinton, and Barack Obama, among others, featured such titles as 'i'm sorry,' 'BEGGING,' and 'Seriously, we've tried everything.'
"They need the money they try to motivate people," Melber said. "They say they're getting outspent."
The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee has issued numerous 'extensions' urging supporters to contribute for double- and triple-matched donations.
