Still, ever since RT's Liz Wahl resigned in protest of the network's Putin coverage, the quitting-on-air thing has sort of lost its luster. Once you get past the initial 'wow' factor its impossible to overlook the fact that such displays are, from their inception, self-promotional stunts.
