NBC's Chuck Todd, the new host of Meet the Press, said President Obama's foreign policy missteps could wreak "Jimmy Carter-like damage" on the Democratic party's image when it comes to national security.
"Republicans lead by 38 points on the issue of ensuring a strong defense," Todd said, noting that Obama's foreign policy is affecting his entire party.
"He's on the precipice of doing Jimmy Carter-like damage to the Democratic band on foreign policy."
"Democrats have been running from that brand for some time," Todd said.
"The polls are shocking," Morning Joe host Joe Scarborough said.
