State Dept: Bergdahl Was Not a Deserter

At a briefing Monday, State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki denied recent reports from U.S. troops that Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl was a deserter.

"We would characterize him as a member of the military who was detained while in combat," she said.
