Republican Iowa Senate candidate Joni Ernst urges voters to "give me a shot" in a new campaign ad showing her riding a motorcycle and shooting a gun she takes out of her purse at a firing range.
She's not your typical candidate, the narrator says.
"Conservative Joni Ernst," he says. "Mom, farm girl and a lieutenant colonel who carries more than just lipstick in her purse. Joni Ernst will take aim at wasteful spending. And once she sets her sights on Obamacare, Joni's going to unload."
In another ad, Ernst said she would be ready to "cut pork" after he background in castrating hogs.
