Former Des Moines Register political columnist David Yepsen slammed Rep. Bruce Braley's (D., Iowa) candid comments trashing Iowa farmers and Sen. Chuck Grassley (D., Iowa) Tuesday on NBC affiliate WHO-IA.
Yepsen said the comments come off as "elitist" and are clearly damaging to Braley's campaign:
DAVID YEPSEN: I think there is no question this is damaging to Congressman Braley. He has picked a fight with Chuck Grassley unnecessarily but he also comes off as sounding a little bit elitist like you have to have a law degree in order to be in Congress and clearly you don’t.
