A top aide to Abdul El-Sayed has publicly called former president Joe Biden a "dipshit" and "rapist" and blasted the United States as "cringe" on July 4, a Washington Free Beacon review of now-deleted posts shows.
It's not the first time Roxie Richner—a far-left operative who, as El-Sayed's communications director, often hovers just behind him when he's speaking to reporters—has made news over her fiery X account, though the most recent posts unearthed by the Free Beacon have not been previously reported.
"#IBelieveBiden raped tara reade and needs to be held accountable," Richner said in May 2020 as then-candidate Joe Biden faced allegations of rape by a former congressional aide, Tara Reade.
"He's a rapist," she told a Democratic activist who urged his party to unite around Biden for the general election.
El-Sayed, by contrast, has been walking a tightrope when it comes to Biden. Black voters—whose support El-Sayed badly needs—are strong Biden supporters, while El-Sayed's Arab base despises the 46th president for providing Israel with financial support after Oct. 7. El-Sayed has kept his public criticism of Biden limited to Gaza.
Richner showed no such hesitation. While Biden made history by elevating the first woman to the vice president's office, Richner made it known that she was unimpressed.
"Yeah but does it matter if his vp is a woman if he's literally a rapist?" she asked in April 2020. In March 2020, she said she "cried" after hearing the Reade allegations.
"I'm sad for her because she tried to tell her story and no one listened," Richner said.
"Words matter, @JoeBiden? please, do explain all the racist shit you've said," she added in March of that year.
In April 2020, she vowed not to vote for Biden "unless he pledges to support the green new deal and medicare for all"—though she later came around.
"Sorry but i'm not tryna get my basic fucking bodily autonomy and the right to marry who I want revoked. vote for fucking dipshit biden," she said in September 2020.
On July 4, 2020—as most Americans celebrated Independence Day—Richner posted "america is cringe."
In other previously unreported observations, Richner opined, "ew why are people CLAPPING for capitalism what is this"
"I hate men," she said in July 2020.
"Does it make me heterophobic if I hope my kids are gay," she added in August that same year.
El-Sayed's issues with black voters are also in play regarding his past comments about President Barack Obama. In a 2012 piece for the Huffington Post, he blasted the first black president for various "failures."
"This leader has perpetuated war, violated our civil liberties, deported more people from our shores than any other president before him, and the list of his failures goes on," El-Sayed sniffed in comments he has since disavowed. Obama campaigned with El-Sayed on Saturday in Detroit. Joe Biden, in failing health, has not been seen on the campaign trail.
Richner has already faced questions for other past remarks that surfaced over the years. In the past, Richner has attacked white women as "policy failures" and defended looting during Black Lives Matter rioting, the Free Beacon reported in April.
