At his speech in Ohio today, President Obama touted a new economic report that claims Romney’s tax policies regarding American companies’ foreign incomes will create 800,000 jobs overseas. An Obama campaign official told Politico:
Economist Kimberly Clausing writes that, under current economic conditions, "those new, low-tax-country jobs could displace jobs at home."
But Daniel Halper at the Weekly Standard sheds light on the fact that Clausing, a professor at Reed College, is an Obama donor in the 2012 cycle and "has given exclusively to Democratic candidates over the years":
Clausing, according to donor records, gave Obama for America $250 on May 18, 2012. Likewise, on September 14, 2011, Clausing gave $242 to Obama for America, records reveal.
