PBS talk show host Charlie Rose reveled he has interviewed Bashar al-Assad Sunday on "Face the Nation."
Rose said Assad denies using chemical weapons against his own people and would not confirm or deny that he actually possesses such weaponry.
Assad, Rose noted, also issued a warning to the American people that given bad experiences in prior Middle Eastern wars America should stay out of Syria.
The Syrian prime minister urged members of the American public to speak out against a strike through their leaders in Congress, Rose said.
