'Reliable Sources' Guest: Trump 'May Be Responsible for Many More Million Deaths' Than Hitler, Stalin

Former chair of psychiatry at Duke University Allen Frances said on CNN's Reliable Sources that Trump "may be responsible for many more million deaths" than the dictators Adolf Hitler, Joseph Stalin, and Mao Zedong.
Frances made the comment just after informing host Brian Stelter that he believes psychiatrists diagnosing Trump as mentally unfit for office amounts to undue politicization of medicine. Frances also said that, in his view, Trump's insanity reflects the insanity of the people who elected him.
"Calling Trump crazy hides the fact that we're crazy for having elected him and even crazier for allowing his crazy policies to persist," Frances said. "Trump is as destructive a person in this century as Hitler, Stalin, and Mao were in the last century. He may be responsible for many more million deaths than they were. He needs to be contained but he needs to be contained by attacking his policies, not his person."
Hitler was responsible for the Holocaust, in which over six million Jewish people were killed. Stalin and Mao killed untold millions, with Stalin once remarking, "a single death is a tragedy; a million deaths is a statistic."
Klobuchar: I Don't Agree With Omar's Positions on Israel
Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D., Minn.) disagreed with freshman Rep. Ilhan Omar (D., Minn.), telling Fox News Sunday host Chris Wallace, "I don't agree with her on her positions on Israel and I certainly don't agree with anti-Semitic comments."
Klobuchar added she thought Trump's decision to tell Israel to bar Omar and fellow Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D., Mich.) from entry was the wrong move.
"I think that was wrong, and I was pleased to see that AIPAC and J Street and other leading Jewish groups came out and said the same thing," she said. "When people go to Israel, they see, despite my disagreement with some of the policies of the prime minister there, they see a democracy."
Buttigieg: TPP Had Problems, But Trade Agreements Should Be Used Against China

South Bend mayor Pete Buttigieg said on NBC's Meet the Press that trade partnerships like the Trans-Pacific Partnership are part of the strategy the United States should employ to stay ahead of China.
Buttigieg, however, was critical of TPP, adding that the Obama-era agreement erred in its violation of "basic standards that we have on corporate governance and environmental and labor expectations."
"The fundamental way to stay ahead of China is to invest in our own competitiveness," Buttigieg said. "If they're investing billions more in artificial intelligence according to a national strategy than we are, then there is a strong likelihood they'll be running circles around us by the time I have kids who are old enough to vote. I don't want to see artificial intelligence in the world being led by China, knowing that their vision is about using technology for the perfection of dictatorship."
Buttigieg's words echo those of fellow presidential candidate Beto O'Rourke, who last week defended TPP, saying that it was a "great concept."
Joe Walsh Announces His Plans to Primary Trump
Former Illinois Republican Rep. Joe Walsh announced his plans to primary President Trump on ABC's This Week.
Walsh told host George Stephanopoulos that he is running because he believes Trump is "unfit" for office.
"Somebody needs to step up and there needs to be an alternative," Walsh said. "The country is sick of this guy's tantrum, he's a child. Again, the litany, he lies every time he opens his mouth."
Walsh served one term in Congress from 2011 to 2013. During his tenure, he opposed tax increases and supported greater border security. After leaving Congress, Walsh became a conservative talk radio host, where he frequently criticizes Trump.
