Fox News Channel announced Thursday that Sarah Huckabee Sanders, the former White House press secretary, will join the network as a contributor.

"I am beyond proud to join their incredible stable of on-air contributors in providing political insights and analysis," Sanders said in a press release.

She is slated to provide political commentary for Fox News Channel, Fox News Business Network, Fox News Digital, Fox Nation as well as radio and podcasts.

After serving for over two years, Sanders left her role as the chief spokesperson for the Trump administration at the end of June. Upon her departure, President Donald Trump expressed his appreciation.

"She is a very special person with extraordinary talents," Trump said. "I hope she decides to run for governor of Arkansas—she would be fantastic."

Sanders tweeted she is set to make her first contributor appearance Sept. 6th on Fox & Friends.

In 2014, Sanders served as senior advisor during Sen. Tom Cotton’s (R., Ark.) election campaign and senior advisor for Donald Trump’s presidential campaign in 2016.

Fox News is the most viewed television news channel in the United States for over 17 years. An average of 2.4 million people watch during prime time.
