2018 Man of the Year: Guy Who Bought a Billboard to Tell Liberals to Leave Texas

Liberals always think they're on the brink of turning Texas blue, and this year's bout of Betomania was no different. One man grew sick of it.

We're not talking about Senator Ted Cruz, who defeated an Irish-American Democrat who spent $79 million and enamored the liberal media but failed to convince Texans that socialism was the right path. We're talking about the unnamed hero who helped save Texas by putting up a billboard directing all the liberals to leave his great state.

"Liberals," the man's sign wrote. "Please continue on I-40 until you have left our GREAT STATE OF TEXAS."

Everybody loved the sign, which was along the highway in north Texas, about thirty miles down the highway from the border.

A picture of the billboard posted on Facebook by a user who wrote that he "liked it" was shared about 14,000 times in just a day, and all the comments were in favor.

But then the out-of-state liberal outrage mobs were alerted.

Death threats started to flood in to both the guy who took a picture of the sign and the owner of the billboard, who simply sold the advertising space to our hero and his beautiful sign. The website for the owner's personal business crashed due to the added traffic from the triggered libs trying to shut it down.

The owner unfortunately gave in to the liberals and took down the billboard. On the bright side—the sign was replaced with one for Big Texas Steak Ranch, so the likely majority vegan outrage mob remained somewhat triggered.

It is unclear how long liberals were being sent out of Texas, but the billboard's effectiveness can't be questioned.

In Oldham County, the site of the billboard, only 82 liberals remained come November, where Cruz won about 90 percent of the vote.

Thank you for your courage, guy who bought the sign, you were the hero Texas needed in 2018, and we are proud to honor you as Man of the Year.
