Santorum’s announcement will come two days after the Republican caucus in Iowa, during which he received 1 percent of the vote. Santorum, who won the Iowa caucus during the 2012 Republican primary, was polling at under 1 percent nationally.
Two other Republican presidential candidates, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee and Sen. Rand Paul (Ky.), have also ended their presidential campaigns in the days since the Iowa caucus.
