Rick Santorum, a former senator from Pennsylvania and Republican candidate for president, will reportedly end his presidential campaign Wednesday night.

CNN first reported the development on Twitter Wednesday afternoon.

Santorum’s announcement will come two days after the Republican caucus in Iowa, during which he received 1 percent of the vote. Santorum, who won the Iowa caucus during the 2012 Republican primary, was polling at under 1 percent nationally.

Two other Republican presidential candidates, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee and Sen. Rand Paul (Ky.), have also ended their presidential campaigns in the days since the Iowa caucus.
