Rep. Maxine Waters (D., Calif.) argued Thursday that President Donald Trump should be impeached and suggested he could be charged with "obstruction of justice" after admitting that he thought about Russia when firing former FBI Director James Comey.
"This president needs to be impeached! I believe that," Waters said on MSNBC's "All In."
Host Chris Hayes asked Waters if she wants impeachment hearings for Trump. The California Democrat initially responded by saying that Trump was leading Congress down that path, but eventually just called for his impeachment herself.
Hayes had previously asked Waters what she would do if she were speaker of the House in a Democrat-controlled Congress. Waters suggested that Trump could be "charged with obstruction of justice."
