More than half of Americans now oppose the Affordable Care Act mandates set to begin this year.
Only 39 percent of respondents said they supported Obamacare, according to Politico. Meanwhile, 57 percent said they opposed most or all of the mandates contained in the health care legislation.
These results show a significant increase in public disapproval of Obamacare. Opposition for the health care law has grown 13 percentage points since a similar survey was conducted in January.
Politico reported:
Some Republicans in Congress are continuing efforts to derail Obamacare by refusing to pass a budget that funds the law. Asked about a potential government shutdown that could follow this strategy, 51 percent of Americans said they would blame the GOP while just 33 percent said they would blame Obama.
