April 28, 2017

President Donald Trump said in an exclusive interview with Reuters on Thursday that being President of the United States is harder than he thought.

"I loved my previous life. I had so many things going," Trump said. "This is more work than in my previous life. I thought it would be easier."

Trump continued by saying he missed his life.

"I thought it was more of a – I'm a details oriented person. I think you would say that, but I do miss my old life," he said.

Trump is approaching the end of the first 100 days of his presidency. While some of his major legislative priorities like healthcare have stalled in Congress, Trump has signed more bills into law in his first 100 days than any president since President Harry Truman.

Aside from the presidency being more difficult than he thought, Trump also mentioned the lack of privacy.

"I like to work, so that's not a problem, but this is actually more work and while I had very little privacy in my old life because, you know, I've been famous for a long time, I really, this is – this is much less privacy than I've ever seen before," he said.
