Markay Discusses Russia's Presence in the 2016 Election on Kennedy

Washington Free Beacon reporter Lachlan Markay appeared on Fox Business program Kennedy Monday, where he was joined by Pete Hegseth and Meghan McCain, for a discussion on Russia and the country's presence in the 2016 election race between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump.

"I think the constant with Clinton's stance, when it comes to foreign policy, it inevitably benefits Clinton. So Trump's Russia policy might benefit Putin, Clinton's might benefit Clinton, you have to weigh which of those is better for U.S. foreign policy perspective. I don't think either is particularly good," Markay said on the Fox Business program.

The Clinton campaign released an ad that portrayed Trump as having strong connections to Russia and Russian president Vladimir Putin.

Host Kennedy found it laughable that the Clinton campaign was trying to tie Trump to Putin based only on conspiracy theories when the Democratic presidential candidate has actual connections to Russia.

The ad comes a week after a report surfaced that, while Clinton was secretary of state, she facilitated the Russian "reset" that helped create the Russian version of Silicon Valley.

The failed project was partially funded by the Russian government that later funneled millions of dollars to the Clinton Foundation.
